GTRCC Flight Training

Our club is fortunate to have two Flight Instructors, Ron Wedel and Gary Pannell.

The GTRCC Flight Instructors do this on a volunteer basis.
There is no costs for Flight Instruction.

From the smallest electric to glow engine trainers all the way to giant scale aircraft,
our Flight Instructors can help to make sure your plane is set up right, flight worthy
and safe before your first flight, guide you through your first solo and beyond.

Training is Free, and you can try it out on our Club Trainer Plane.
To fly your own plane you must be a member of the AMA.

Flight training may include Ground School, Pre-Flight Safety Check of your plane,
Flight Training and Maintenance Guidance.

Gary has flown AMA Competition events. Formula1 racing, AMA Scale and Pattern
and Scale Master at the Nationals for several years in the past.

Ron is a sponsored 3D Giant Scale Pilot and an AMA Inspector.

If you need advice on the type of aircraft, engines, transmitters, batteries etc.
please ask as there are some models that are best for each experience level.
