GTRCC Flight Training

Our club has three Flight Instructors, Ron Wedel and Gary Pannell and Ray Thompson.

The GTRCC Flight Instructors do this on a volunteer basis.
There is no costs for Flight Instruction.

From the smallest electric to glow engine trainers all the way to giant scale aircraft,
our Flight Instructors can help to make sure your plane is set up right, flight worthy
and safe before your first flight, guide you through your first solo and beyond.

Training is Free, and you can try it out on our Club Trainer Plane.
To fly your own plane you must be a member of the AMA.

Flight training may include Ground School, Pre-Flight Safety Check of your plane,
Flight Training and Maintenance Guidance.

If you need advice on the type of aircraft, engines, transmitters, batteries etc.
please ask as there are some models that are best for each experience level.

If you would like to discuss our free flight training, the first requirement is to
download and review our Flight Training Manual. Print and bring it with you.
